Day Twelve
Question one
A locksmith’s shop was located immediately next to this temp agency.
What was the company’s legal name?
Back to some French. No problems with that, just means we need to look a little closer and make sure we follow up with every little hint and possibility. That’s no problem, in fact I should be doing that anyway!
We don’t get much from reverse-image searching the full photo we’re given so I wanted to see if there were any other clues in the image. At first I wondered if we could unpixelate the big green logo. This is possible to do but we need to know a lot more information about the font and other information that we’re just not going to get.
Instead I looked at the smaller logo just to the left of the big Interim sign. It’s possible that this could be for another business, though the same color green on the logo makes it seem unlikely. Even if it is for another business, we’ll still be finding where this image was taken anyway.
I took a screenshot of just the smaller logo and ran that through [images.google.com], and we got a hit!
The indeed page hosting that image belongs to 16 Experts. Dilligent people will notice that the previous link is offline now. We might be able to look for an address on the indeed page or check if there are any archived copies of the website but I instead kept it simple and just searched for ‘16 Experts’ on Google Maps. Almost immediately I was suggested ‘16 Experts Toulouse’.
I checked the Streetview and saw a familiar sight:
Now to answer the question. Note the wording of the question specifies that a locksmith’s shop was located next door. Back in 2023 we can see that there was a sign that matched up with the format of the asnwer (Being two letters):
Conclusion
Another nicely paced challenge. I’m hopefully catching up with the days I’ve missed, not that you’ll see any of that if you view this after a certain date…
Stay tuned!
