Day Seventeen
Question one
Another homonym!
Together they give the solution.

I was very confused when I first read this. There’s another hint that reads:
Hint: I have the homonym, I know why he is famous, and I am stuck
Remember Nike’s slogan.
That clears nothing up.
I used Yandex to run a reverse image search and found the full image:
Looks like a neat little band. The Yandex results also led me to this page that reveals their full name: Kazuhisa Hashimoto
The image we’re given of Kazuhisa, and finding his band (The Rad Rats) gives us part of the homonym. Kazuhisa Hashimoto is also the name of the man who created the Konami Code, among other things. I was born well after the Konami Code was any use in games, nowadays it’s usually just an easter-egg rather than a debug code accidentally left in.
So what does Nike’s slogan Just do it. have to do with this?
I was cratching my head for a while trying to find this. I searched for Kazuhisa Hashimoto Nike, Kazuhisa Hashimoto Konami Nike Rad Rats and any other combination that might give us a hint, but this didn’t work either.
Maybe it’s a direct hint, to just do the Konami code on the page. I entered it and here’s what popped up:
If we go back to the Metal Archives page we can see that the Rad Rats did release an album in 1991 called In the Lost Paradise. I replaced the ALBUM 1991 text with the album name (Leaving the other characters) and that was our answer!
Conclusion
That was an interesting one. Less OSINT and more just a fun little easter egg… Which was also the answer. It was a bit difficult, but pretty fun either way.
